Join the NPO in October for the opening concerts of our new season, with celebratory fanfares by American composers Aaron Copland and Joan Tower. These two contrasting fanfares will surround one of the most performed contemporary orchestral works, Blue Cathedral by Pulitzer Prize & Grammy-winner Jennifer Higdon.
As the NPO musicians are still reveling in the conclusion of our 20th Anniversary Season last year with Beethoven’s Ninth, we are excited to close out this opening concert series with the next musical step in orchestra history with a piece the NPO has not played in our 20 years of concerts: Brahms’ Symphony No. 1.
